PAT “JOEY JEREMIAH” MASTROIANNI
BUY TICKETS ($12 advance, $15 door)

Join fan favorite Degrassi star Pat Mastroianni as he reflects upon his years spent as Joey Jeremiah on Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, and Degrassi: The Next Generation.  Video montages will trace the character’s development and Pat will also bring some of his own home video footage from the set.  Plus audience members will have the chance to compete against Pat in a Degrassi trivia contest with vintage Degrassi prizes!

degrassi-3-smOne of the defining television programs of the 1980s, Canada’s Degrassi Junior High and its subsequent incarnations realistically dealt with sensitive youth topics in a previously unheard of manner.  From child abuse to drug use, homosexuality to teen pregnancy, Degrassi never shied away from tackling issues that actually mattered within a medium that was saturated by sitcoms and safe dramas.  Despite the heaviness of certain episodes, Degrassi was always able to maintain a joyous and often hilarious atmosphere that welcomed viewers into their fictional classrooms.  Punky-haired Spike, environmentally-conscious Caitlin, and likable troublemaker Joey were just a few of the fan favorite characters that transitioned from Junior High to High (1987 to 1991) and then returned to usher in the Next Generation in 2001.

degrassi-2Pat Mastroianni joined Degrassi Junior High at the age of 13.  In 1988 he won a Gemini Award for Best Continuing Actor in a Supporting Role (Canada’s equivalent of the Emmys).  Pat continues acting and living in Toronto today.
