MONDO MAUSOLEUM PARTY
Featuring live performances from JAN TERRI, MARY OCHER, and DEAD! Guest hosted by SCOTT AND GARY!
Come be a part of the live audience for the latest episode of PhilaMOCA’s ongoing public access variety show, MAUSOLEUM PARTY! This special MONDO edition is the biggest one yet, full of big name performers and the glorious return of Scott and Gary to the public access airwaves after nearly 25 years!
We’re super excited to host legendary Chicago-based singer JAN TERRI for her FIRST EVER PHILADELPHIA PERFORMANCE! Jan’s video for her hit 1993 song “Losing You” over three million views on YouTube (search for “Worst Music Video Ever”) thanks to her sincere, catchy, and unique musical stylings. Jan will be performing a full live set including select songs with live musical backing from Philly’s The Pink Angels.
Moscow-born outside artist MARY OCHER has been creating multidimensional music far from the mainstream since the age of 14. Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs called her “a true outsider artist, immaculately self possessed.” King Khan, who produced her latest record, exclaimed “I never though that an alien could combine the magic powers of Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Buffy Sainte-Marie and tie it all together in Kate’s bush.” It’ll be ethereal.
DEAD hail from Philadelphia’s dystopian future, Wachowski Brothers-approved.
THE SCOTT AND GARY SHOW aired on NYC (and later Baltimore) public access television from 1983-1989. Their show featured early television performances by the likes of Half Japanese, Butthole Surfers, and a pre-rap Beastie Boys.
